Connecting With People & Communities

Identity, Voice & Purpose — Working with Children
Creating spaces for meaningful conversations around identity, voice, and purpose. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how schools can help young people feel seen, heard, and valued.

Community Connections
Community has always been at the heart of my work. These moments reflect the relationships, conversations, and connections that continue to shape how I serve and learn from others.

Relationships with the Government
Building relationships across different levels of government has given me opportunities to listen, engage, and understand how community voices can contribute to meaningful conversations and decisions.

Relationships with Indigenous Peoples
Learning from and building respectful relationships with Indigenous peoples has been an important part of my journey. These experiences have encouraged me to approach community work with humility, respect, and a willingness to listen and learn.

Conferences on Wellness & Healing
Connecting with professionals and community leaders around wellness and healing has expanded my understanding of the different ways we can support individual and community well-being.

Door Knocking
There is something special about meeting people where they are. Door knocking has given me the opportunity to have real conversations, listen to residents, and learn more about the community from the people who call it home.
why i am stepping forward
I have spent much of my life working with children, families, schools, newcomers, and communities. Those experiences have shaped how I understand service, leadership, and the importance of listening.
I’m stepping forward to bring that experience into the conversation about our schools and our community, with children and families at the heart of the work.
For me, leadership begins with listening, building relationships, and understanding the experiences of the people we serve.
